Kisspeptin-10

Overview
Kisspeptin is a natural hormone made in the brain that switches on the reproductive hormone chain (GnRH, then LH and FSH, then testosterone or estrogen). Kisspeptin-10 is its shortest active piece. Human studies, mostly from academic reproductive-endocrinology groups, show it raises LH and testosterone and is being tested in IVF and low sexual desire. It is not approved for any use.
How it works
Activates the KISS1 receptor on GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus, triggering GnRH release. That leads the pituitary to release LH and FSH, which drive testosterone and estrogen production. Brain-imaging studies also suggest it enhances processing of sexual and romantic cues.

The vial outlasts its ~28-day shelf life once mixed. A smaller vial wastes less.
Under 5 units is hard to measure accurately. Add more diluent for an easier draw.

Reconstitution
Diluent: Bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol) — allows multiple draws from one vial.
- Wipe both vial tops with an alcohol swab and let dry.
- Draw the diluent, then inject it slowly down the inside wall of the vial — never straight onto the powder.
- Swirl gently or let it sit; do not shake. Foam can damage peptides.
- Solution should be clear. Cloudy, stringy or discolored = discard.
- Doses are small for a 10 mg vial — using more diluent makes them easier to measure.
- Common mix: 10 mg + 5 mL = 2 mg/mL (100 mcg = 5 units).

Cautions
- Continuous or very frequent dosing can make the system stop responding (desensitization) — studies saw hormone responses fade with continuous exposure.
- Changes reproductive hormones. Avoid if pregnant, trying to conceive outside medical care, or with hormone-sensitive conditions (e.g. prostate or breast cancer).
- Banned by WADA for male athletes.
- Research is mostly short-term; long-term safety is unknown.

Kisspeptin is used in academic clinical research, mainly in reproductive endocrinology, but no kisspeptin product is approved in the US. Research vials are sold as research chemicals.

FAQ
Is kisspeptin like TRT?
No. It prompts your own body to make more testosterone through LH, rather than adding testosterone directly. Effects in studies were short-lived after a single dose.
Why does daily dosing matter?
The reproductive system responds to pulses. Constant exposure can blunt the response, so dosing pattern matters more than with many peptides.
What's the difference between kisspeptin-10 and kisspeptin-54?
